The Metal Arts Guild of Nova Scotia gets involved in demonstrating metal working at a number of public venues. We see this as a way of educating and interesting the public in our discipline and in the process of making work by hand.

The annual NS Gem and Mineral Show held in Parrsboro, NS in August provides an ideal opportunity to demonstrate our craft to the public.

“We have also demonstrated and conducted introductory workshops at Halifax’s art festival

NOCTURNE: Art at Night and Halifax Public Libraries.”

“Through the Nova Scotia Designer Craft Council, we demonstrate our craft and have a retail booth at Summer and Christmas Craft Markets.”

Recently, we have been invited by the Halifax Public Libraries to run half-day workshops to introduce metal working to adults in a hands-on format.
