“Make Your Own Personal Stamp” workshop will be taught by Don Bell the most experienced Goldsmith in Nova Scotia. You can create a simple stamp or if you are an experienced metal worker you can carve an ornate pattern similar to the ones in the photo.
The objective of the workshop is to carve a design onto the end of a small round metal rod to be used as a personal stamp or hallmark for your jewelry. If you have a hallmark you can make a stamp that you can use to embellish a piece or put feathers on a bird or scales on a dragon.
Think of a design that represents you but is simple to carve into a metal rod, or a pattern you wish to make.
Please bring the following tools if you have them:
*Small files
*Hand tools
*Saw
*Copy of your design to scale if possible (ie 2mm x 2.5mm)
*Your lunch
